Many of our customers are requesting their spa is winterised/drained correctly for winter. While this seems a simple task, care needs to be taken to ensure as much water as possible is removed, no issues exist prior to winterising and that the spa is cleaned and sanitary.
Ice can form in pipework that holds water and split fittings in extremely cold situations, stagnant/still water in dirty untreated pipe work will hold bacteria and cause biofilm problems when the spa is refilled. Simply using the drain off point will not remove water from heaters and pumps.
